We're back this year with a new hybrid competition that sees our best local performers go head-to-head with poets beamed in live from across the nation, all vying for victory and $1000 cash prize.

Embracing this brave new world, The Bunker Spoken Word Series presents two heats and a Grand Final spanning the physical and digital worlds of spoken word.
GRAND FINAL // LIVE VS. STREAMED
In a near dystopian display of big screen performance and live performance storytelling, the top five from each heat will compete in the Grand Final event at the Imperial Hotel Eumundi, competing for the title and a tidy sum of $1000 in prize money.

Featuring a guest performance from spoken word poet and performance artist Boy Renaissance, whose work explores gender, faith and sexuality with courage, honesty, electricity and a penny-drop presence.
